Here's our Fly Fishing Art for the Week entry for this week. I've been carving since around 1997, though not full time, and it's been a few years since I've carved. I guess that means I've carved a few things here and there. Ok, let's just say I like wood carving. Three dimensional art is about as hard as it gets in the art world. I spend about 9 hours a day doing 3d art for my "real job" and sometimes it's enough to drive you nutty. I'd say building virtual 3d art is probably easier than physical 3d art at the level that Roger Carbone is.
Fly fishing carvings have been offered by Roger Carbone since 1986 according to his website: http://www.carbonesflyfishing.com/wood.htm and I think it shows in the quality of his work. Roger offers wood carvings as well as cold cast trout. All of which are beautifully painted in great detail. No pricing is readily available on his site, and I'm sure you'd need to contact him to work out a price for your particular needs. I just feel that this is some quality work, and definitely worthy of my humble site's approval.
