I've done away with the fly fishing art for the week. From now on, the awesome fly fishing art that I find while out scouring the interwebs is just going to be called: "Awesome Fly Fishing Art"! Catchy eh?
This time, I found one that my buddy and flyfishreviews.com co-owner Rusty Foreman will love! It's from an artist named Dave Walker and his line of truly original trout sculptures made from beer bottle caps and cans called "Rainbrew Trout"! It's not very often that someone comes up with a unique and appealing idea, and I think this is one of those rare ideas. Dave builds his trout sculptures by recycling beer caps and cans and arranging them in a way that is truly artistic. You can buy a Rainbrew trout in 3 sizes (Small, Medium and Large) from $50 to $125 and Dave can custom build your trout from your favorite caps if you send them to him. Man, these things are just screaming to be on the wall of the man cave. What I like about them is that they're not something you're going to see everywhere, and sure to be a conversation starter. I think they should be required decor for every bar within 50 miles of popular trout water. Best of all, they're made right here in the USA (Idaho to be exact). Check out the gallery of available pieces on Dave's site: http://www.rainbrewtrout.com/Grooming_Services.html
I can't decide on my favorite. I think I like the Copper belly or the 48 metals the best. Truly awesome trout art Dave, truly awesome!
